This website is an interesting concept. You upload your resume after you join and prospective employers can hire you. You can also apply for jobs yourself with all different pay scales. I did not sign up so I do not know exactly how it works, but it may be worth looking into for some extra cash.
It looks like there is a lot of administrative work, but I cannot see everything without logging in. Here is the link https://www.livework.com/

This sounds like an absolutely wonderful position for someone who needs a full-time job! The company is called NCO and they have offices all over the world. The ad specifically states it is work from, the only thing I was not sure of was if you had to live in Kansas or not. On the bottom of the ad it does say office environment and gives an address in Kansas. At another spot in the ad it also mentions heavy lifting. I am thinking the ad was originally for an office setting and then it turned into a work at home position. It does say they offer a competitive salary, benefits package, time off and 401K package. Great deal for a work at home job! It definitely would not hurt to apply.
Here are the responsibilities they list…
- Answer incoming calls from client and/or customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manner.
- Provide prompt resolution to customer inquiries by providing appropriate and accurate information.
- Accurately document and update records in required systems.
- Follow up in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand all programs, systems, and procedures.
- Track daily calls.
- Maintain diplomacy and tact when dealing with upset or escalated calls.
- Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
- Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
The qualifications for this position are as follows…
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) certificate.
* Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred.
* Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
* Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
* Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multi-tasked environment.
* Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.

I have done these before myself and they are quite easy. The pay is $5 per shop, and the call takes five minutes or less. The online form is pretty simple and depending how fast you can enter it, will take you ten to fifteen minutes. The form is pretty much yes or no questions. You will be speaking to a switchboard operator asking a few questions.
For the month of March you must live near a specific area to do these shops..
Piqua, OH 45356
Lima, OH 45804
Fairview, PA 16415
However, they do these throughout the year and you can live anywhere and make the calls as long as you have free long distance. To be qualified you have to be between 22-60 and have good writing skills. The time frames are usually pretty decent also, usually throughout the day and some weekends.
I suggest if you are interested in doing any in the future to get on their mailing list.

Who would have guessed that when you are ordering your pizza at some places you are talking to someone sitting in their own home? It amazed me when I first started looking for work at home jobs how many call center jobs were actually people at home. On the Live Ops website it says you will be taking and processing orders for delivery and carry out orders for various pizza and casual dining restaurants. They prefer people with experience in fast paced order taking, and say the best money making opportunities are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. There is a script, and some upselling is involved.
The next time you call in for a pizza or take out food, listen carefully and see if you hear any noise in the background or not! It just may be someone working from home.

There are also other opportunities listed on the site. http://www.liveops.com/become-agent/current-opp.html#dining

We all know Kelly Services, the company that finds a temporary job for you when you are in between jobs. I saw an ad posted yesterday for Kelly at Home! My first thought when I saw the ad was that more and more companies are going the at home route to save money on rent and various taxes. Whatever the reason this is a great opportunity for anyone in between jobs or looking to get in the work at home field. Kelly has always been a great company from what I have heard. Some people have even landed permanent jobs after find part-time work with Kelly.
The position they have posted is for customer service and it says you need a phone, headset, and a reliable computer. This sounds like a great opportunity for someone getting started working at home or just needing a job!
Here is the link for more information and to fill out the application. Good Luck!

Last night I was chatting with the HR director of one of my work from home jobs. We seem to be having a real issue with people applying for jobs, being really excited about getting the opportunity to work from home, and then lasting less than a month. Most work at home companies get more applications than regular businesses because people can work from all over the country and world. Working from home is a great opportunity to at stay home earn great money, and be able to be with your children, not waste gas, and not have to buy new clothes all the time. Why are so many people not taking the work seriously? Do these workers not realize when they do not show up for work THEY WILL NOT get paid? There is no sick time or vacation pay. When you act irresponsibly you are losing money. Not to mention there are over 1000 applicants waiting for your position. This is a real job, a real company that is making money, and counting on you to do your part. If you cannot get out of bed and log into your computer at a certain time then do not apply for a work at home job and waste a companies time.
Before you think about working from home make sure your plate is not too full, when the employer says “are you sure you want this job?” you should be VERY sure, and just as a desk job you have to drive to you must be on time and show up for work! No work means NO PAY when you work for yourself.

Data Entry is another great work from home job and there are quite a few out there if you can snag them quickly. They are popular and go quickly, as there is no phone work involved. One popular company is Great American Opportunities http://gafundraising.com/ They are the company that does fundraising for schools who sell magazine subscriptions. I know a few people who have worked for them, and they absolutely love the job. The work is seasonal, both spring and fall, and you are on a waiting list for a position. I was on a the list, but did not follow through because I already have a full schedule. You can work whenever you want which is wonderful. To be put on the list you must email your letter of interest and resume to gaorepline@gafundraising.com.
