More Tips When Applying for Work At Home

I decided to write some more tips about applying for and getting work at home jobs. I am now seeing why so many people fail! Yesterday I mentioned how one applicant stated they did not have a resume. Also, this week I sent out over thirty emails to other applicants who applied for a job. I asked them to respond if they were interested in a position I offered them, or if they were not interested in the position I offered them. I heard back from FIVE out of the thirty-three applicants!
You are not going to get a job that way! Another email came back to me stating their mail was full. If you are really looking for work, be responsive and be quick about it, before all the positions are filled!

Secondly, I am a supervisor/manager for two different companies, therefore I remember names! If I remember you did not respond to one of the companies I work for - I am definitely not going to think you are a good applicant for the other company I work for. Most work at home applicants apply for many jobs they see posted!

D0 not apply for a job just to see if you are going to get hired! You are wasting the time and energy of many people!

Resumes are Important - Even for Work at Home!

I want to mention if you are seriously seeking a work at home position - you do need a resume just as if you are searching for a job out of the home. I help with the hiring at one of the places I work for and told an applicant she was ready to proceed, but I still had not received her resume. I waited and no response. Finally, I sent another email. She responded with “I do not have a resume.” I was shocked. Why would you not have a resume in this day and age, when everyone out there is searching for jobs! After I sent her the first email, she should have put one together.

She will not go any further with the company I am with or probably anywhere else until she has a resume. Perhaps she does not have much work experience, and that is fine we want to know about her education and her background a little bit more.

Times are tough put something on paper, ANYTHING!

I’ve Tried That

Published by cindy23 under Working From Home Edit This

A friend pointed out this cool site to me. http://www.ivetriedthat.com/
It is a website where you can read what people say about different websites and work at home jobs and report scams!
They list some jobs here and there, and then people can post warnings and such and what worries them about applying for certain jobs.

There are contests on there, free stuff and various other tips. My friend told about one of her work at home jobs and is receiving a free book! I thought that was pretty cool. I think it is worth a look, if you hear of a work at home job or if you think something is a scam and you want to scope it out first.
