Berkley Graduate School of Journalism hiring Data Research Assistants WAH many Countries

The pay for this looks quite low at .20 cents per document, however it does say there is a potential for for bonuses, raises and position advancement in the future, depending on quality of work. The locations they are hiring are listed by your time zones, although when I shot off an email just to explain I was not in any of those time zones, the nice person said it would be fine for me to apply if I was still interested. I really do not have a time for another job, but wanted to get further information in case anyone who did not live in the time zones listed may be interested.  It clearly stated in the ad “You MUST be located in a time zone of GMT+3 through GMT+6, otherwise please do not respond to this ad as we will not be able work with you.” I am not sure if this was an error or they have not received many applications from this area.

It says the positions entails being able to locate, format, and upload documents. It sounds like they deal with news related articles worldwide. May be an interesting part-time position for someone. Thanks for the information. That was nice of them to write back and let you know that you could still apply for the job. It’s weird that they would let people out of the time zone apply for the job if they stressed that you shouldn’t apply if you didn’t. They must really need people to work for them if they are willing to take people out of their zone.

That does seem low for pay, but I think that I might look into it.
