Being Sick and Working From Home
This winter I have been sick three times!
I don’t know how I could get sick that many times when I work from home, but I have managed to do so. There is an upside! I do not have to call in sick to anyone! I just control how much work I feel like doing, and believe me it has not been much! I have managed to make it through my tutoring with a scratchy voice and my poor students barely recognizing me. I have to admit I have learned many Chinese remedies this week, and the students have been very sweet and sympathetic. My virtual assistant job, well, I have answered some emails here and there, but have not had any energy for much else. I am so tired from coughing and blowing my nose, I cannot focus on much else. If I were not working from home, I would have to wake up every morning, make that dreaded phone call to someone explaining that I am sick, get the third degree on when I was expected back to work, if I had been to the doctor etc. Now I answer to me! I still have deadlines, and I am confident I will make them, but there are also some things I will put off until I am 100% again. I can go back to work when I AM ready! I think it is time for another milkshake and some more rest.

I hope that you will feel better soon. It’s great not to have to make those ’sick calls’ when you work from home, isn’t it?
Man, I feel so bad for you. Take care of yourself and I hope you get better soon.
Awww, I’m sorry that you’ve been sick. I can work pretty well when I am sick, but it gets tougher when the kids are sick. We spent about a month passing the stomach virus around. Yuck!
I have an award for you
No pressure on you to continue the chain. please accept it in the spirit in which its given.
